We still have the home inspection to go through so I'm crossing everything til then. That's why I've dialled it back and concentrated on my WIP projects for a little while, it was so exhausting trapesing round non starter after non starter that I've spent 0 time at the sewing machine.
Fear not, this week I'm back on form and hope to bring you some great refashion projects (fingers crossed) so here is the first of the weeks refashions, the dreaded Polkadot clown pants/trousers to a cute floaty bow skirt.
I made two bows to add to the skirt with a pin/badge on the back so I can reposition them, I love things I can change up and if you can have several looks from one skirt with less sewing then that sounds like a good deal for my shocking $1 layout! Sadly no matter which angle I take the photos from and however much I adjust the picture the bows don't show Grrrrrr so close your eyes and imagine!
See I told you the bows were there!
and just in case you forgot how yucky the before shot was, here it is untouched by the refashion trifecta; that's scissors, seam rippers and sewing machine!
Just rustling up a tutorial for this and this one is so simple you're going to kick yourselves for bypassing all those trousers on the thrift store racks.

It's lovely! I think I'll have to find myself a pair of floaty pants for your tutorial :) Isn't it amazing what you can do with a pair of scissors, a trusty seam ripper, and sewing machine? Well it's amazing what YOU can do with them!
Also, congrats on your new home!
